This event is sponsored and produced by Awake Media for sister company Awake.net, a 501(c)(3)-approved non-profit with the mission of ending addiction and saving lives. We are hosting free monthly public events at the Boulder Library Canyon Theater to educate people about plant medicine options available for ending addiction, healing ptsd, finding meaning and purpose in life, and connecting with the divine through direct experience. We will bring in experts from all over the world to these monthly events, either in person or by Zoom with live moderators on stage.
Our special guest is ibogaine coach and integration expert Anders Beatty from the United Kingdom. Anders has helped many hundreds of people over the last decade to prepare for a medically supervised ibogaine treatment and coached them on how to integrate and translate the lessons learned from that journey into real change in their daily lives. Anders has recently joined the Awake Board of Directors and will be launching his preparation and integration course The Monomythic Journey on the Awake platform December 2024 as a part of Change Your Character our nine-month guided program for ending addiction using ibogaine and other plant medicines.
The live moderator for the event is Awake co-founder and president Lakshmi Narayan.
Ibogaine the Addiction-Interruptor
Ibogaine is a whitish powder that is contained inside the root bark of the Tabernathe iboga shrub, found in Central West Africa, as well as in a plant called Voacanga. Ibogaine has the amazing quality of physiologically interrupting addiction by restoring addiction receptors in the brain to a “pre-addicted” state in a single medically supervised treatment. Because iboga is a psychedelic aka entheogenic plant medicine, it is not available inside the US medical system. Over the years thousands of people have ended their addiction and redeemed their lives with the help of ibogaine or other plant medicines by traveling to Mexico or Canada or other parts of the world where it is legal or semi-legal. At Awake.net our non-profit goal is to raise $100 million to fund 10,000 individual treatments using the medical tourism model, raise awareness about entheogenic plant medicines and their power to heal and awaken, build community—both online and local—and offer a model for actually healing and redeeming an individual struggling with addiction.
It takes a village, as they say.
