Bio or Description |
Daniel Covington is a husband, father, and an ecologist at-heart. For the past 25 years, Daniel has been a wetland scientist, botanist, and stream restoration ecologist in the Pacific Northwest, and he’s had a long-standing relationship with plant medicine and plant technology. Since 2019, Daniel volunteered for the Measure 109 campaign in Oregon, co-launched a similar ballot measure in Washington, and has made an ever-growing project of developing a common language around psychedelics. His passion for cultivation, advocacy, deeper understanding of self, and the art of communication spawned the Cultivating Interests platform, and he is thrilled to bring it to you. “Cultivating Interests is my project of authenticity,”
There is a growing need for education and a shared language around psychedelics. Cultivating Interests is a 3-day, in-person workshop (based in Hood River, Oregon) that addresses the what, why, and how of psychedelics and the psychedelic experience, with an emphasis on psilocybin. Our ecological approach to education provides a greater depth of understanding for participants, ranging from novices to psychedelic facilitators. We also address microdosing psilocybin and cultivation for beginners, but this is not another how-to course. The microdosing and cultivation modules not only cover the “what”, they also thoroughly examine the “why” of each concept and element. Cultivating Interests is comprised of three modules:
- Cultivating Understanding
- Cultivating Self (Microdosing)
- Cultivating the Means (Cultivation for Beginners)
