Anders Beatty
Anders Beatty is a transpersonal guide, ibogaine integration specialist, and founder of the Good Life Index and The Metaphorical Cooking Pot, trauma-informed, soul-centered frameworks for recovery and personal transformation. He supports individuals—particularly military veterans and those affected by addiction, complex trauma, and traumatic brain injury—through the psychological and spiritual processes that accompany ibogaine and other plant medicine–assisted healing. Having spent 25 years struggling with addiction, Anders speaks from lived experience. He views addiction not simply as pathology but as a shadow initiation: a painful passage that, when met with conscious care, points toward deep insight and transformation. His encounter with ibogaine became a turning point, catalyzing the healing that now shapes his life’s work. With over a decade of professional experience, Anders coaches clients undergoing treatment at Magalies Wellness, Inner Realms, Ambio, MedicineHeart, Anzelmo Ibogaine, Experience Ibogaine SA, and IbogaQuest. He emphasizes that pre-treatment is essential but often overlooked, focusing on cultivating profound curiosity as the foundation for transformation. He also runs independent ibogaine coaching and integration services, ensuring aftercare receives equal attention. Anders is a Director of Awake.net, a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, a regular speaker at psychedelic conferences, and is currently collating his life’s work into book form on preparation, integration, and transformative healing. His mission is to weave science, ritual, and soul into spaces where individuals can safely navigate their deepest initiations and reclaim their lives with purpose and dignity.
Dr Andrew Maclean Pagon MD, PhD
Dr. Maclean Pagon is a Senior Consultant GP and Psychiatrist, specialising in holistic, transpersonal and transcultural medicine and psychiatry, entheogenic psychotherapy, Vijaya (cannabis) medicine, medical herbalism, and medical acupuncture. He is a full-time member of the Peruvian Psychiatric Association, Latin American Psychiatric Association, World Psychiatric Association, and an International Member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). Education and Training . From an early age, Dr.Maclean Pagon was trained in ancient Druidic lore. This tradition promotes cultivating honourable connections with the physical, energetic, and spiritual landscapes—including flora, fauna, fungi, lichens, algae, bodies of water, landforms, and the diverse two-legged (human) communities of the world—as well as with nature deities and spirits. The training emphasises venerating the divine essence within nature and all living things. In his late teens and throughout his adult life, he studied Vedic Aryan and Himalayan shamanic traditions while living for many years in Bharat (India) and Nepal. This training focused on spiritual disciplines such as yoga, mantra repetition, meditation, pranayama, martial arts, sacred sexuality (tantra), and the ceremonial use of entheogens. Exploring intersections between nature, spiritual practice, holistic self-understanding, cosmology, mythology, and healing modalities fostered a deeper comprehension of spirituality and the interconnectedness of all life. Dr. Maclean Pagon’s unique synthesis of Druidic, Vedic Aryan, and Himalayan shamanic knowledge positions him as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern spirituality. He offers insights into how individuals can live in harmony with themselves, each other, and the planet. Dr. Maclean Pagon now operates a licensed clinical practice in holistic medicine and psychiatry in Miraflores, Lima, Peru and Tarapoto, San Martin Province, Peru. He actively conducts field research on medicinal and entheogenic plants, fungi, and lichens across diverse Peruvian regions, collaborating with university researchers in the Amazon. Awake Board of Directors, Founder Psaequillibrium, GP, Psychiatrist, Rishi, Plant Medicine Practitioner, FEAT Care Team TOPIC A Holistic Examination of the Therapeutic Boundary:The initial premise is correct: the boundary between holistic psychiatrist and patient is not merely a set of rules but a dynamic, living entity essential for the sanctity and efficacy of the entire therapeutic process. Its thinning is not a sign of professional failure per se, but an inherent risk of the work, demanding profound and constant ethical and moral engagement.
