Your generosity could save Jessica’s life. Watch her short video appeal so you can understand what’s at stake here for her. Listen to her story of HOW she got addicted. Who is responsible? Jessica? A negligent healthcare system? A government that feigns ignorance in the form of endless clinical trials that take years and years while someone dies of overdose every 10 minutes? Everyone who profits from Jessica’s addiction? I say we are all responsible for allowing this to go on, and we should get behind those who are suffering NOW and help them get access to ibogaine, a plant medicine that interrupts addiction often in a single medically-supervised treatment.
While Texas lawmakers are optimistic about authorizing clinical trials to reschedule ibogaine from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3, these trials will take years to complete and eventually create access. Meanwhile, someone in America is dying of overdose every 10 minutes. These deaths are preventable. We have known about ibogaine as an addiction interrupter since 1962, and a pathway exists NOW to help those trapped in addiction at clinics located outside the US. The problem however is that the treatments cost thousands of dollars plus precare and aftercare, and insurance doesn't cover it.
And that's what we at Awake FEAT have gotten behind. We've created a personal fundraising platform for FEAT candidates to raise money for their treatment, a network of highly experienced ibogaine practitioners—the FEAT Care Team—and a nine-month Journey of Rebirth that includes preparation, treatment overseas, and integration. With this framework in place we are positioned to fulfill our social impact mission of ending addiction one ibogaine treatment at a time.
Jessica is on a timeline to raise money for her ibogaine treatment to end her deadly addiction to fentanyl and meth.
