Ending Addiction by Funding Ibogaine Treatments

We launched Awake as a 501c3 approved non-profit in 2018 with the mission of creating a pathway for people battling addiction to be able to get funding and have access to ibogaine, a psychedelic root bark that can interrupt hard addictions like opioid or meth in a single clinically administered treatment. Sadly, ibogaine remains mislabelled a Schedule 1 drug in the US, even though it’s a boon to mankind during an overdose epidemic that has killed over one hundred thousand people in 2023 in the US alone.

We got 501c3 status in 2021 and we launched FEAT, the Fund for Entheogenic Addiction Treatment to help individuals fund their ibogaine treatment which is about $10k. We created a crowdfunding platform on Awake, and a nine-month integration program that is taught by multiple teachers.

In order to access ibogaine and its healing one has to take both an inner journey into the psyche, and an outer journey to places where it is legal or decriminalized, like Mexico, Africa, Portugal. So we created the Global Directory of Entheogenic Practitioners and Integration Providers where someone going through addiction recovery with ibogaine or other entheogens can find treatment providers, therapists, coaches, guides, and peer groups  in their local community or online.
