In Celebration of Christ Consciousness

Easter always brings me to a particular journey in front of a particular fire, and the particular circumstances of my life at that point was a state of “oppression” at the hands of another, who shall go unnamed. After a lot of drama and misplaced hostility directed at me, I was glad to sit by the fire and relax and feel the medicine transform my feelings. The days trials melted and I felt the spirit of Christ Consciousness wash over me, wash me, bathe me in the Light of Oneness.

I saw an image of Christ crucified on the Cross. In the way of these alchemical experiences I was alternately the one on the cross and also the one looking at it. I realized the metaphorical, archetypal dimensions of this experience in a flash of insight.

I realized that the metaphor contained in Jesus’ moment of doubt was when he said “Why hast Thou forsaken Me?” In that moment of doubt he was very Human, fearful, alone as we all are when we are experiencing Life sometimes. But in the next moment when Christ said “Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.” he transcended his own humanness and became One with the Father. He was the One doing the forgiving. And I realized in that moment that all the stories of Victim and Oppressor that I get caught up in and others get caught up in are just that — narratives, storylines that give way to Death in the end. But what Lives, beyond Death? Christ Consciousness lives on because it is the purest expression of Oneness, that’s why the vibrations of someone so steeped in that are few — it’s difficult to maintain it because the Divine Illusion of being an individual is so strong. And that’s the paradox of Oneness. It is not simple because in order to embrace Oneness you have to believe in a state of being and a state of Inner Knowing that the world narratives don’t validate. Christ consciousness is not a possibility if your religion says only One man can have it. Krishna Consciousness, Buddha Mind, it doesn’t matter what you call it, the Beings who manifested these qualities were showing us by example the Way and the Light, the potential of being Human. The word Hu is a Sumerian word that means ‘God’.
