Whilst lawmakers are jubilant about another round of funding and another round of clinical trials that will take years to validate, and indigenous ceremonialists are celebrating their supremacy, someone dies every 10 minutes of overdose. These deaths are preventable. There exists NOW something that we have known about since 1962, that ibogaine can interrupt addiction. and a pathway exists NOW to help those trapped in addiction, a medical tourism pathway. And that’s what we at FEAT have gotten behind, we’ve created a fundraising community, a network of ibogaine practitioners — the FEAT Care Team–and a nine month Journey of Rebirth to fulfill our mission of ending addiction one ibogaine treatment at a time. Jessica is our first candidate.

Jessica is on a timeline to raise money for her ibogaine treatment to end her deadly addiction to fentanyl and meth.

Seven Years Facing a Wall

It’s been a huge learning process for me every step of the way, because the general trend in the world of psychedelic medicine is towards the clinical pathway, which is built on future fumes and has claimed millions of dollars and attention. Meanwhile, one person is dying every 10 minutes or so of overdose, and it costs a mere $10,000 to save that person’s life and a pathway exists NOW, outside the US to interrupt addiction with ibogaine. I feel that we as a society have become numb to the tragedy inherent in these numbers: More people have died of overdose than in many wars. Just today If one hundred people gave one hundred dollars we could save a life. Many people might spend that much several times a week on a meal.

Jessica is determined to end her addiction which has dominated her life for so long. She is currently on Fentanyl with it’s daily dangers of overdose. She holds down a job and is super-responsible in spite of struggling with addiction, and we at Awake hope that we can inspire you to pitch in whatever you can, even if it’s just a couple bucks, and help Jessica save her life.

I’m reaching out with humility and hope. After struggling with addiction for years and coming to the realization that typical treatments were not working I made the choice to seek other options. Ibogaine sounded like the answer to my problems I was told didn’t exist and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to receive help from Awake to get where I need to get to start my life over.
