The Dance of Realms

In the heart’s quiet chamber, shadows and light entwine,

Fantasy’s gentle whisper, psychosis’ tangled vine.

Spirit weaves its golden threads through reality’s loom,

A dance of worlds within worlds, from cradle to tomb.

Fantasy is the soul’s and mind-brain’s creative playground, where imagination sculpts worlds untethered by physical laws.

Psychosis, however, is a neurological and unwholesome malfunction, where perception falters, blurring reality’s edges—neurotransmitters misfire, and synapses miscommunicate, leading to distorted experiences.

Reality is the canvas upon which existence is painted, each and every stroke a moment, each and every colour a relative truth.

Fantasy and psychosis challenge the nature of this canvas.

Fantasy willingly steps into illusion, while psychosis unwillingly distorts it.

Reality and perception are subjective; what is “real” can vary between sentient beings.

In shamanic traditions, the spirit world is as tangible as the physical.

Here, the shaman navigates realms unseen, bridging the gap with wisdom, ceremony and ritual.

The difference between spiritual vision and psychosis is the shaman’s grounded purpose and guidance. These journeys are intentional, unlike the chaotic spirals of psychosis.

Spirituality seeks the essence beyond form, connecting with the divine tapestry.

It transcends the physical without losing its anchor. The mystic’s vision is clear and purposeful, unlike the confused tangles of psychosis.

True spiritual awakening integrates, and goes beyond, rather than fragments, the self.

In essence, the distinction lies in intention, clarity, wholesomeness, and integration.

The journey between these realms demands wisdom, centring, grounding, and clear discernment.
